We went to the bar, so this review is for the bar only. The bartender was very welcoming and personable. The drinks were fantastic and it was a nice cozy atmosphere. I was reluctant to stop into a bar enclosed in an ice cream shop, but the two separated so it wasn’t as if there are loud families hanging out. We initially tried to visit the rooftop bar around the corner, but found it to be far too uptight and pretentious…even despite the nice view. I would highly recommend this place as a stop on the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Very good ice cream but is probably better enjoyed when it's warm out. They had lots of outdoor seating available which was nice. Chairs and tables were clean and plastic, so not too heavy to move some chairs around. Also had a beautiful view of the bridge! Vanilla chocolate chunk was nice but chocolate chocolate chunk was very good and everyone's favorite. I would go again and try more flavors but probably in the summer because there's only outdoor seating as signs said you cannot take ice cream into the attached indoor bar.
Excellent ice cream made in-house in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, out of an ex-fireboat house with fabulous views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. I opted for the coffee ice cream. The ice cream was creamy and delicious, and not too sweet. A variety of toppings were offered, and to attest to how great the ice cream is, just check out the lines on a beautiful day! And the owner is so kind. The factory also has a variety of main ice cream flavors and all are made very, very well. Definitely worth the trip!
